Melanie Sheperd, Au.D.

Audiologist

Dr. Melanie Sheperd’s journey to audiology began at home, inspired by her own family’s experiences with hearing loss. She understands how impactful hearing loss and hearing healthcare can be on patients and their loved ones. Dr. Shepherd earned her Associate of Science degree from Northwest State Community College, her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Purdue University Fort Wayne, and her Doctor of Audiology degree from Western Michigan University. She completed her fourth-year clinical externship at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Michigan, and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and Michigan Audiology Coalition.

After graduation, Dr. Sheperd gained experience with pediatric and adult patients, focusing on hearing loss management. She’s eager to bring her expertise and passion to enhance communication and provide outstanding care at Hearing Health Center. A proud Boilermaker, Dr. Sheperd enjoys crafting, gardening, reading, collecting tea sets, and relaxing with her husband and their dog, Pippin.
